In May, we pause to recognize Mental Health Awareness Month—a time to reflect on our emotional well-being and the importance of genuine human connection.
Loneliness, in particular, has become a growing public health concern. In fact, the U.S. Surgeon General declared it a national health crisis in 2023, and the World Health Organization reports that over half of adults say they feel lonely.
What’s especially alarming is that we’re living in a time where we can communicate instantly—yet many still feel disconnected, unseen, and unheard. It reminds us that likes, shares, and emojis are not substitutes for meaningful connection.

We all have the power to make someone's day better—just by reaching out. The next time you see a friend post something meaningful, go beyond just hitting the heart button. Send a message. Call. Let them know how their words touched you.

While culture often glorifies self-sufficiency and isolation, we are meant to do life together.
As written in Acts 2:46 (NLT):

We were never meant to navigate life alone. And we shouldn’t let the label of “introvert” become an excuse to withdraw from the relationships we need to thrive.
